Beginning in January 2020, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the world will study The Book of Mormon in the Come, Follow Me program that is a resource designed to support gospel learning and teaching at home and in the Church:
We invite you to use Come, Follow Me — For individual and family use to help you and your family during your personal and family scripture study and during Family Home Evenings. Come, Follow Me—For individual and family use, you'll focus on the same scripture passages you'll learn about in Sunday classes.
The purpose of this resource is to help you:
- Increase the frequency and improve the quality of your efforts—individually and family—to live, learn, and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Deepen your doctrinal understanding of the scriptures.
- Improve your gospel learning experience in the Church.
For Sunday School (youth and adults)
Sunday School teachers should use Come, Follow Me—For individual and family use, to know what the scripture accounts and principles need to be taught. Teachers should use Come, Follow Me—For Sunday School to prepare and organize lessons that support the scripture study that class members are conducting at home.
The purpose of this resource is to help you:
- Support and encourage gospel learning at home.
- Engage class members in meaningful scripture discussions.
- Help class members understand and apply the doctrine found in the scriptures.
Primary teachers should use Come, Follow Me—For individual and family use, to know what the scripture accounts and principles need to be taught. Teachers should use Come, Follow Me—For Primary to prepare and organize lessons that support what the children are learning at home.
The purpose of this resource is to help you:
- Teach the children principles drawn from scripture accounts.
- Encourage children to share more.
- Strengthen what children are learning at home.
