They sing for love to Lencas brothers, in Honduras

And hundreds of coats are collected for them

The Choir of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Tegucigalpa area, held this past Sunday, November 24, in the chapel of Colonia Palmira, the concert "A coat for my brother Lenca" to collect coats for the people of La Esperanza, Intibucá.

The Christmas, folk and spiritual music concert was attended by hundreds of church members and nonmembers, including children, youth, and adults, who wore coats to donate.

"I loved it, it was a wonderful experience, such angelic voices."

–Carol Espinoza, spectator of the event

The collected coats will be taken to La Esperanza, Intibucá, where they will be handed over to the neediest people in that town.

"It was an unforgettable experience, knowing that with our talents we can help others provide shelters."

-Alejandra Alvarez, member of the Choir

For members of The Church of Jesus Christ, one way to show love to others in this cold season is to "dress the naked," as taught by our Lord Jesus Christ.

This event was held as part of the #Lighttheworld program, which encourages us to be able to serve our neighbor "one by one" during this Christmas season. For ideas on how to serve, visit https://www.comeuntochrist.org/light-the-world
